DESCRIPTION:
These four seminars focus on the role that trauma has in both the cause and the resolution of Codependency/SLDD. In the “Paleopsychotherapy” seminar, paleontology and fossil metaphors are used to explain how and why codependency/SLDD-specific trauma memories are quite difficult to find, and often take a great deal of time and specific professional experience and skill to piece together. Piecing together “trauma fossils” and processing long forgotten or dissociated trauma brings a person to the doorstep of the “Codependency Cure.”
Paleopsychotherapy: Searching for Trauma Fossils
Paleopsychotherapy and Trauma Fossils are powerful psychological metaphors that aptly communicate the complexity of buried childhood attachment trauma and its effective treatment of it. Ross Rosenberg, a trauma, codependency, and addictions expert, will explain why many presenting problems are actually symptoms of deeper underlying psychological problems, which have long been relegated to the dark confines of one’s unconscious.
Codependency, for example, is rooted in childhood attachment trauma, which, over the years, has been covered up with layers of ‘sediment.” With each passing year, inaction and lack of attention to the original trauma results in successive layers of accumulated “sediment,” which, over time, eventually morphs into a harder rock-like boundary protecting the person from their forgotten and unresolved trauma. Because of the powerful natural forces of compaction, the original trauma eventually becomes “fossilized.”
Healing the Inner Trauma Child (HITCH) Technique
The Healing the Inner Trauma Child Technique (HITCH) provides trauma resolution/integration that is effective with PTSD, CPTSD, Attachment Trauma, and other Dissociative Disorders.
Because attachment trauma is dissociated from conscious awareness, and most psychotherapists do not have the education or training on how to access it, HITCH gives a therapist the tools to go where most therapists have not been before.
In this seminar, you will learn about psychological trauma of all types, especially attachment trauma. Trauma severity factors, trauma memory subtypes, as well as how and why the brain processes and stores trauma will be presented.
The Role Dreaming Has on Trauma
Ross explains the key to understanding one’s attachment trauma often is in an accurate understanding and interpretation of one’s dreams.
